What is the Excess Baggage guidelines with Volaris?

Volaris carry-on size must be within 22 x 16 x 10 inches of your reservation for domestic and international flights. The total weight of the carry-on bag and personal items cannot be more than 44 lbs.

Volaris Checked baggage

You may check up to five bags for an extra cost, each of which cannot weigh more than 55 pounds and Volaris baggage size must not exceed 62 total inches in length, breadth, and height. However –

• You’ll be charged extra if your luggage weighs more than the permitted amount.
• 99 lbs is the maximum weight allowed for overweight luggage.

• Please keep in mind that the maximum allowable size for a checked instrument is 78.7 in (width + length + height).

• The entire instrument needs to be put in a case that can be transported (preferably a hard case).

• File a claim – You can submit a claim with Volaris for compensation in the event that your luggage is lost or harmed. Make sure to provide all relevant documentation, including your PIR number, boarding pass, and any receipts or other documents related to your baggage.

• Follow up – Keep in touch with Volaris customer service to stay informed about the status of your baggage and the progress of your claim.

What is the compensation for lost or damaged baggage with Volaris airlines?

The compensation for the damaged, delayed, or missing baggage includes –

Compensation for the damaged baggage on domestic flights – Compensation for damaged luggage may total up to 80 units of measure.
